There are a range of routes available for those wishing to continue education post-secondary school such as secondary school sixth form which is s sixth form attached to the young person's secondary school, the secondary sixth form offers AS/A levels and BTECs or apprenticeships. The benefit of continuing on to a secondary sixth form is the continuity for the young person as they do not have to stress about finding a college/sixth form when there is one already attached to their school which makes it easier for them to apply. A sixth form college is also an option for young people who want to challenge themselves and experience a more mature educational environment. There is also the option for technical colleges which also caters for young people aged from 16-19 years of age which offers a more of a work based qualifications such as, apprenticeships and NVQs.
