King’s College London
King’s College pulses through the heart of London, and like a countless many who have been drawn to this hub of the world, I too feel a great urge to explore this city. Stepping out into the London air I do feel as though I am breathing in a world of history and culture that I am yet to explore at every step. To me, being at KCL for a semester would provide me with what I believe to be an ideal balance for my academic career and my personal ambitions.
In my final year of high school, I was overjoyed to have received an offer from King’s College London (KCL) to attend its film program. Ultimately, however, for various reasons, personal and academic, I decided not to go through with the offer. KCL perfectly complements this diverse range of interests, allowing me to complete prestigious courses which teach many of these mentioned disciplines at one time, such as the course “Museums of London”, perfectly fitting into the shorter amount of time which I have at this university. The rich cultural past of London would push me further to pursue my studies in history, which I am planning on minoring in at UBC, allowing me to return home, recharged with the perspectives of a city that has not just seen, but been a pioneer to the rise of our modern
