Animal Testing is Wrong!
“Animals are such agreeable friends—they ask no questions; they pass no criticisms,” - George Eliot. This quote from Eliot is saying that the animals won't judge you even if you are doing wrong, they are truly “a man’s best friend.” They (the animals) do not know the difference between wrong and right. Animals from all over the world are being tested for the “benefits” of humans. This is awful because it violates animals' rights; it causes pain and suffering to the experimental animals, it is ineffective and unreliable for humans, animal testing is completely unnecessary because viable alternatives are available.

Animals and humans are alike in many ways. Both feel and experience some of the same pain. That is just one of the many reasons why animals should be treated with respect. Their reactions to pain are virtually identical. Usually, humans scream and cry when they are in pain, while some animals are unable to cry (like rabbits) they can scream. They experience and feel pain just like people do. When the animals are used for laboratory research they are subjected to painful and frequently deadly experiments.
Some of the most common tests they are used for are the LD50 test and the Draize test. Both are infamous for the unimaginable pain and suffering they inflict upon experimental animals. The LD50 test is used to test the dosage of a substance that is necessary to cause death in over fifty percent of the animal subjects within a certain amount of time. The failure rate with human trials exceeds 95 percent. As well as the cost for one successful drug can be about $1 billion or more. Not only do the medications that work on animals fail in humans, but some drugs that would help humans but are discarded because they fail in tests on animals. A dangerous assumption is that rats and humans are the same, but rats are not tiny humans. Rats and humans have been on their own evolutionary paths for tens of millions of years. Humans have developed their own features and so have rodents. So, some of these tests are nowhere near
