Introduction The role of a teacher is under estimated in America. I believe without teachers, students wouldn’t have anything to look forward to. If the teacher is passionate enough about improving a student’s life, then the student will blossom. I believe that educators are one of the biggest influences in a child's life. Educators are the people who can guide and mold young minds into responsible,respectful,and well-rounded adults. I believe that each and every young mind has the capacity to learn and grow into human beings who are educated and compassionate. One key component of my teaching philosophy has to be classroom management. My biggest concern being behavior management. Behaviorism is a theory I think should be somewhat applied to the class. A goal of early childhood educators should be to encourage students to be able to solve problems by thinking critically. This does not go to obstruct creativity but simply to organize thoughts to make solving problems more efficient for the young learners. By organizing thoughts then more problems will be able to be solved in the future.. My class will also be learning through the process of discovery. Hands-on activities will help students think at higher-order levels. This way of learning shines light on the constructivism theory. Constructivism is a theory that deals with students demonstrating their knowledge through activities and problem solving rather than just passively learning information. Constructivism pushes active learning instead of passive learning. Constructivism will definitely be used in my class by way of the activities.
