The Viverridae family consist of 34 species in 20 different genera. The main animals that make up these families are the Civets, the Linsangs, and the Genets. The information below will talk about the fossil records, comparing and contrasting between the species traits, comparing and contrasting the job and environment of the species, evaluating the adaptive value of the traits in each species, give the approximation of the time of speciation and theorized cause of speciation, and find a common ancestor between the three chosen species. For this information I have chosen to do the Asian Palm Civet (Genetta Genetta), Common Genet (Paradoxurus Hermaphroditus), and the African Linsang (Poiana Richardsonii). The image on the right is a picture of an Asian Palm Civet skull and jaw line being and example of fossil records.
Time has flown by and sooner than expected it is time to decide what career I want to pursue. I wasn’t sure until a few weeks ago, constantly feeling pressured by those around hoping I was confident about what I wanted to be when I grew up. I’ve changed my mind a million times, thoughts of money, happiness, and success were key factors into my decision, and I only had one college in mind. As I researched around I began to understand what qualifications I needed for not just the degree, but for the colleges as well. Many of my friends are still clueless about what they want to do, but I realize that no one is quite certain, even myself.

Tell us about yourself I come from a small town of Meeker, OK where I started my education and graduated with a class of 65. My family is my firm foundation and I have been blessed with a support system. I have grown up with a mother, grandmother and grandfather, aunts and uncles who have all led a career as an educator. Throughout my life I have enjoyed countless car rides talking about education in Oklahoma and spent several hours as a teacher’s kid after school and throughout the summer in the classroom preparing for the next class.
#5 When I was a sophomore, I decided I would join the Careers in Education program at the Tech Center. I was not sure how I would like it, but I knew that it would help me decide what I really wanted to do after high school. Everything we have done this year has been great. Joining that class was a great decision and I am so glad I did it.

If it were not for my surroundings and the meaningful people I have encountered in my life I would not have grown into the person I am today. All the skills I possess and the drive I contain stem back to the influence of my family, culture, community, environment, and education. Through the lessons cultivated, I have grown into a strong and leadership focused individual who wants to pursue a career in teaching and ensuring integrity onto forthcoming generations. Both of my parents grew up with single mothers that worked night shifts struggling to provide for them. I love to teach little kids and experience what kids in these grades are like and what they like to do. I remember when I was in these grades and I loved my teacher. My theatrical transformation began at the age of thirteen, when I sat through a math class on improper fractions while I was already dreaming of the world of calculus.
