Mission and Vision Statement The mission statement defines an action-based statement that declares the purpose of an organization and how they serve their customers. In some cases, it includes the description of the company. A mission statement gives a short summary of the company’s purpose. The vision statement gives the direction in which the company desires to achieve in the long run.
The guest speakers were very informative about their positions and the field of sports management. Both, Drew Watson and Anna Welsh, are in very high positions of authority within the Athletics department at Southeastern.
