Organization and Unit Mission, Vision, and Values; shared Governance Like with any company, everyone has a mission and a vision of what they want their company to accomplish. From the first day, a person is hired the companies mission, and vision statement is instilled into their employers. Their whole organization of that company’s structure is built and maintained by their mission’s philosophy, thus preparing them for setting goals and standards to take their business from a starter company to a company which is growing and providing their customers with the best of their product. No matter what culture, religion, color, poor or rich my patients come from everyone I treat is treated the same with respect and dignity. Our vision of our organization is that our staff wants to work and practice here and the people in the community want to come here for their health needs. The values are based on several themes, such as integrity which is to have a strong sense of morals. We also strive for excellence to not settle for being good but the best in our field and to continue to grow in our knowledge. Compassion is also stressed, for, without compassion, we cannot give our all (OhioHealth website, n.d.). It is important for every company to have a mission statement, for the declaration is a guide which a company uses to push their company toward in the future. Therefore, since the care I provide is 97% cardiac, I am responsible for the post-op care of the patient, making sure they understand their discharge insturctutions, providing a referal to our Healthy heart facility for ongoing teaching on diet, exercise and mediction, along with providing any other home care referals they may need.
