Mission and Vision
What is a mission statement? A mission statement can be define in many ways, and most important, people often mistook mission as a goal in life. A goal is usually a short-term and an individual ambitious of an individual seeking to achieve then set themselves another goal in live. For example, a student goal is to get straight A’s in college. This is a goal, whereas a mission statement is an enduring statement purpose that distinguish a health organization from other organization, and why it exist (Swayne, Duncan, & Ginter, 2008, pg. 162). Vision possess four important attributes: idealism, uniqueness, future organization, and imaginary (Swayne, Duncan, & Ginter, 2008, pg. 171). Further, it is an expression of hope, motivation, and confidence that allow staffs to significantly thrive in the future. Craig Hospital is very precise and well-recognizable. The vision statement of Craig Hospital is very precise and well recognizable as it heavily focus on teamwork and donation to advance their research and continuance delivering best care to patient. Craig Hospital’s vision is “Craig Hospital will be recognized internationally as a leader in providing innovative rehabilitation and healthcare services through an interdisciplinary team approach focused on the delivering exceptional life quality and independence outcomes for people affect by the cord and traumatic brain injury.” As one top-ten rehab hospital in the nation, Craig Hospital continues to improve themselves as a team through advance research the charitable funds from people and organization that allow them to thrive further in the future. The collaborative of teams’ effort is the key to the great outcome of the hospital, and moreover, it allow them individually to focus each patients’ ability to recover their life quality and independence through the treatment
