The current climate of standardized testing creates unreasonable stress for both students and all school staff. Testing is already awful why add more stress. Anxiety levels are definitely going through the ruff, studying for a test with only twenty or more questions isn’t that bad but imagine you sitting in a stuffy desk wait filling in bubbles just so you do it for another hour. The United States education system is no stranger to reform implemented or supported by the government. Over the past four decades, the education system has been poked, prodded, formed, and reformed more than ever before. What is the cause of such change? Quite frankly, the U.S. government is feeling pressure from other countries’ academic successes. In order to maintain our top seed in every aspect of the international hierarchy, states are pushed to implement standards that are deemed suitable by the government to maintain that standing.
Standardized Testing Do you think students should be tested so much? Students are tested from grade three all the way up to their senior year of High School. Their test are mostly about Reading and Math. Testing so much should be illegal. Standardized Testing should be limited because students become overwhelmed, are robbed of their childhood and has not achieved anything from No Child Left Behind (NCLB) which was passed in 2002.
Kids like the amount of test taking in school. I think the amount of test taking is a little too long. While others like it. I think getting a little less test taking would be ok so then you can relax and not keep taking tests one after another.
Some think that standardized testing is beneficial, but others think that it is not. It is clear that overall, standardized testing should be eliminated from schools everywhere. Three reasons are tests are not helping students for college and careers, they cause too much stress and anxiety on students and teachers, and tests can be biased. Therefore standardized tests should be wiped out.
The time that students spend outside of class studying for standardized tests could be used for something more productive. The school also has to create a modified schedule so students can take the standardized test- it will most likely result in shorter class periods, cutting away from valuable learning time. How Common Core is Positive Education in the United States changes every single day. Today, forty five of the fifty states base their education on common core. The common core methods are certain standards that students should know by each grade level. These standards are mostly found in the math and language arts subjects. The decision on whether to issue the common core standards or not has been a very popular debate in recent years in the United States.
Schools are giving out too many standardized tests. It’s not only robbing them of their time, but it’s also causing stress and anxiety and going into far levels. Students need to be focusing on their learning academics and preparing for their future. Taking unuseful tests are not only pointless, but they put too many kids/teens into anxiety and even depression.
While common core can be argued that it creates higher standard of education, removing it would be a fine by many teachers in Florida. Removing common core would take less stress off of the educators and in-turn students alike. Common core does not even accuraltely judge a child's knowledge effictively. It is for these reasons that if Common core is removed, that it would benefit the educational system. Common core adds stress to teachers.
This kind of testing is not unnecessary for the student because they will not get anything that can use in real life. Most of the student just only learn to take the test and then after they taking it they just forgot it, so what the main point of having mandatory testing. The topic that the school has been teaching some of them were out of syllabus that means even they learn ,they will not get anything from it so why this kind of thing have to be taught to student?. It also makes the student wasting money because the school only teach a basic lesson but the test was using an advanced lesson that is too hard for them so they have to pay for an extra class outside the school to find the way to get more knowledge that enough for the test. Also, the student have to pay for the test registration that I cost money and this kind of test actually the student needs to sign up for more than one subject and some are so expensive such as TOEFL and IELTS.
