The final blocks of our business model concern delivering value to customers. There are several key partners that EverClean will need to align with in order to ensure success at delivering value. First and foremost, the most important partners of any company who makes a physical product are suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors. These companies will be vital to ensure that we can make our product to sell to our customers, and get it to them. We need supplier agreements in order to ensure we get value for the raw materials we order and keep costs low. We plan to partner with Chinese manufacturers of travel mugs as they have the economies of scale and capacity to produce the basic mugs for us. The first key activity is manufacturing. We plan to outsource the manufacturing of the mugs themselves to save costs, and handle the application of the coating and aesthetic design in our own plant. Secondly, we have to market our product. Our target market ages are ranging from 18-40 overall, so we have decided social media is an effective strategy to reach them at essentially no cost. For our younger target market of university students, we plan to use Twitter and Instagram. For Instagram specifically, a key statistic is that “59% of internet users between the ages of 18 and 29” use it, (Aslam, 2018), which allows us to reach a large percentage of our target market. In order to reach the older end of our target market from mid 20s to age 40, we plan to use FaceBook to advertise, specifically video ads. FaceBook already has over 1 billion users and about a quarter of their users fall directly in our target age range, (Apuzzo, 2014). That is a staggering number, and with FaceBook’s auto-play feature on the video ads, we will be sure to get a lot of product exposure. The third activity is developing and maintaining our online platform. This will be vital to ensuring our platform will be a viable and easy-to-use option for our consumers, as well as being able to grow with our business. If it is poorly built, designed, or maintained, than our main channel for selling is in jeopardy, and as a result, EverClean itself. The final activity is the distribution of our product. This will include shipping and delivery to the customers, plus selling through other retailers potentially, to help expand our products reach. This step is so important because we need to be able to physically get our products in the hands of our consumers to be successful.
