Observing Mr. Boggs Mr. Todd Boggs, the superintendent of the Osnaburg Local School District, to anyone on the outside he may seem like the man who decides whether or not there is a snow day. When in reality Boggs does much more. Mr. Boggs attends most home sporting events, as well as prides himself on the academic standards of our little school. We have recently had the privilege of receiving a brand new football field and track. Although I was not behind the scenes of that project, I have seen the plans and ideas for one of the hopeful future ideas the “field house”. Boggs as well as many other contributors wish to transform the Smith gym into a field house with an indoor track, larger locker rooms and a larger weight room. Another event Mr. Boggs has had to plan in the past few weeks is a “WHBC 14-80 5 part series on East Canton” (Murphy). A radio station did a 5 part interview series about EC. WHBC interviewed Coach “Spider” Miller, Mr. Boggs, Coach Doug Miller, Tom Davis, Mr. Loy and Mr. Sternberg for this seris. Planning and communication both went into this event. Mr. Boggs had to work with the radio station and with the coaches to come up with times and dates to conduct the interviews along with working around his own schedule. Mr. Boggs manages many different events each day such as meetings, making phone calls and many more upcoming projects. According to the Teachers and Principals of Stand for Children “A great superintendent is a good manager. He or she directs the administrators to accomplish the goals of the district, monitors their progress and evaluates their performance”. Mr.Boggs manages and plans events all throughout the school from projects such as the field house to the radio interview and making sure that the school is running smoothly. For
