When I heard about North Carolina A&T State University (N.C.A. & T.), I was exceedingly surprised that such an HBCU existed; the location only compliments it further. Even though it is ways from Maryland, I am inclined to make the trip in order to pursue my beliefs and passions in life. I want to able to expand my horizon, open my mind to different perspectives, and absorb tremendous amounts of educational information with no hesitation. I am ranked in the top five of my class with a 3.9 cumulative grade point average GPA, and I have the familiarity of AP courses. Being that technology is constantly evolving and molding, I find it prudent to be a part of the workforce that brings this development together. Hence, I am determined to join a sorority, for I want to experience being a part of a group that allows one to be treated as family; also, I want to be part of an organization that does things for the greater good of the community. Whenever I see the stepping shows, the performances always succeed to amaze me; to see a group of people come together as one in sync while having the most fun gives me a positive outlook on life. Nonetheless, it’s the same feeling I get whenever I help out others and the community. Regularly, I would help the owner of Lifetime of Adventures with business data and files as well as educate the children and help them develop some basic skills. In Delaware, I would participate in the Whatcoat United Methodist Church’s food drives to help those of the less fortunate, and I would clean the rooms and bathrooms after services. The impact of the food drives on a person’s life is what motivates me to be a better person; just to know that one may have helped a mother feed her family is an honor of its
