More than 90 percent of games rated E10+, Teen, or Mature have scenes that include violence. (From healthline.com, Rachel Barclay, 2014) These games can lead to bullying, fighting, or even murder. Some people may argue that massacre is not a direct result from this “entertainment.” Although, even E-rated video games, which the (ESRB) says are ok for everyone and may contain some form of violence. Playing these violent games do not have an upside and only lead to more hours of playing. Playing video games is not the best for the brain and violent, “war-like” games are even worse. Willis Cohen jumped a fence into his neighbors yard and exited through their house. This would be considered trespassing. In New York, trespassing is a misdemeanor which can lead to a year in prison. Another boy hacked a cellular device by calling the Cohen’s house pretending to be another member of the squad. The group then waited outside the Cohen’s house hoping for Willis to exit the property. The spent the night on a cul-de-sac which could be very dangerous for high school students. Hacking is considered a felony in the United States of America. Recently an 8th grader in Florida got arrested for hacking a teacher’s online profile. His entire life could now be in trouble. If he wants to go to college, they could see that he was arrested and not let him in. If he wants a job in the future, people could look at the arrest and easily reject him from the opportunity. His entire future is now in jeopardy because of one illegal stunt. In the “High School Shootout”, students performed many illegal stunts which could get them in jail. This “game” could ruin a teenager’s life forever. In the game Call Of Duty you can talk to many other players over a chat, and many death threats can happen. This is while playing a game where you’re trying to kill that person. Profanity is regular on the chat and some very inappropriate sayings or bullying can occur too. Many children are hearing these things just by playing a “game” where you try to kill as many people as possible. Young kids should not be experiencing these dangers and violent role playing games provide
