I want to thank you for spending time with me Thursday discussing your Executive Assistant position. Although the responsibilities which I currently perform are quite similar, I find the differences between the two would be an exciting new opportunity for me to utilize my skills and expand my knowledge of our organization and to further my career.

Of course the most significant difference with the responsibilities of this role would be the exposure/interaction with the field. With my 32 years of experience, the learning opportunity to understand how the field functions would be exciting! Although my knowledge of the organization is not totally lacking, looking through the eyes of the business side versus “the inside looking out” would allow me to provide my insight to others in the field who might not understand what the individuals working on the inside are tasked with. I would watch Stephanie interact with the Agency Managers, Agents, etc. and I would be amazed at the knowledge she held and how she would be able to assist them…I want to be that person for the field! With the Technology Division relying on me to help them with various needs, my interpersonal relationships throughout our organization would only be an asset to the Marketing Division! …show more content…

All of the Executive Assistants have this responsibility but not to the magnitude in size; however, I am up for the challenge! I would enjoy all aspects of this responsibility, from the major details to the minor (i.e., working with vendors for location details, to the creation of PowerPoint presentations, awards). One of the reasons (not an excuse) for my delay in sending this message to you was due to working with Jama on John Horazy’s PowerPoint presentation yesterday for the upcoming District Agents/Agency Manager Meetings.
