Due to many cyberbullies online the schools and lawmakers should do more to protect kids from cyberbullies because jealous people can post information about you that could be false or private, it is ongoing and more permanent than physical bullying, and it is easier for kids to get away with other than physical bullying. As more and more technology is being invented, the more kids around the world are getting cyberbullied. It happens 24/7 anywhere and everywhere. Unlike cyberbullying, physical bullying usually happens at school or at the park and once you get home you don't have to worry about it. Critics might argue that you can easily tell if something is false or the person posting that information. But as I said before cyberbullying can be anonymous so it could be hard to find whos behind all of the cyberbullying. For example in the article ‘How to Curb Online Harassment? Technology, Law, and Advocacy Can Help’ it states “here’s a fact pattern we see frequently: a client’s nude pictures, originally shared in a trusting relationship, get posted by her jilted ex to a website dedicated to hosting “revenge porn” (Goldberg).” In other words, you can trust somebody at one point and tell them everything and then the next minute you get in a fight and suddenly your getting bullied on the internet about all of those secret that you told them. Another reason why I think schools and lawmaker should do more about cyberbullying is that in the same article ‘How to Curb Online Harassment? Technology, Law, and Advocacy Can Help’ it explains, “just because you’ve never taken naked pictures or don’t have enemies doesn’t mean you’re safe (Goldberg).” In addition, it doesn't take naked pictures or enemies for somebody to cyberbully you. Someone could easily make up false information about you and use photoshop to bully you to make themselves feel better. I mean, that's the point to why kids cyberbully. It makes themselves feel better knowing that somebody else is hurting or feeling bad about themselves. Lastly in the same article ‘How to Curb Online Harassment? Technology, Law, and Advocacy Can Help’ it tells us, “we have clients whose bikinis are photoshopped off and posted onto revenge porn sites (Goldberg).” This gives us an example of when Goldberg said something about how you don’t have to have taken nude pictures before to be posted on revenge
