Managerial Interview #1 For my first interview, I decided to reach out to my manager at my current job in my hometown at Justice. Justice is a retail store for preteen girls ages 6-15, where we sell pretty much everything for clothing and shoes, to hair accessories and stuffed animals. There is always something for any girl at Justice. When I started working there around three years ago, Nicole Conley was the assistant manager and then was promoted to head manager of the store and has successfully filled this role for almost two years now. Question 2: Is the organization structured to support the mission statement?
“Yes. The way that we are structured both at the field and corporate level gives us the ability to fulfill our mission statement. The corporate structuring allows the company to stay on top of customer’s wants and needs by ensuring we not only have the right products, but the right tools to ensure that customers are easily able to get what they want. The structuring at the store level allows us to create great experiences for customers by having the right products and having amazing customer service” (N.Conley, Store Sales Leader, October 1st, 2017).
Question 3: Is the communication process structured to support the mission statement?
“Yes. We use typical tools such as conference calls, help numbers, and emails. We also have the ability to communicate feedback directly from customers to the home office to ensure we are meeting wants and needs for our clients” (N.Conley, Store Sales Leader, October 1st, …show more content…

Now that I have obtained this information, I have a new respect for my company and how it runs because staying true to a mission statement is a hard thing to maintain, but now that I know what the mission statement of Justice is, I can really put the pieces together and feel like everything I do for the company has a purpose. I agree with everything Nicole said in this interview because I get to witness it first-hand every week. Justice really does revolve around communication and ensures that the mission statement is executed through every employee the company hires, and that is something to be proud
