“A plague o’ both your houses!...I am sped” (3.1.5). Romeo and Juliet is a “tragedy” play written by William Shakespeare. It’s about a young forbidden love who die for the love of one another . Mercutio is the fault for the death of Romeo and Juliet. He is to blame for their death because he is the one who took Romeo to the ball, the one who didn’t want to avoid a fight with the Capulets and he was the one to challenge Tybalt to a duel. Mercutio is at fault for the death of Romeo and Juliet because he gives bad advice and not only that, but he also can’t take good advice. For example, Mercutio states, “With all the admired beauties of Verona...go thither, and with unattainted eye compare her face with some that I shall show “ (1.2.86-88).
