• My educational goals are to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and then proceed to get a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice. I will earn a Bachelor’s degree at Texas State; however, I am not sure where I will earn a Master’s degree. In addition, I will minor in Aerospace Studies.

7. What career or job opportunities does this degree give you?
The degree programs in the School of Criminal Justice prepare students to pursue advanced academic degrees and to serve the community in the operation and management of criminal justice agencies which include:
• federal, state, county, and municipal law enforcement;
• probation;
• courts;
• institutional corrections;
• parole;
• related agencies.
The programs are founded on an interdisciplinary and academic approach to the role of criminal justice in the maintenance of social order in a democratic society.
Students pursuing a degree in criminal justice should be willing to meet the standards required of such a career. The majority of criminal justice agencies require sound academic preparation, psychological stability, physical agility, and a record free of felonies or excessive traffic offenses. All three programs include optional internships, and students selecting an internship option must meet criteria described below. • The only options for Criminal Justice are Internships or Non-Internships. I will be doing the Non-Internship options.

9. At what points will pivotal decisions need to be made?
• I already know that I want to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Aerospace Studies. There is a requirement to enter to become an intern; however, I rather not pursue that part in the career. I want to pursue the career that Aerospace Studies have. In addition, you don’t have to accept to the degree nor have a minor.
