To me, leadership mean being responsible and someone who can manage time really well. A leader can walk their followers to the right path of success. Someone who is in control because of their personality of trustworthiness and always deliberative from the world which is unpredictable. I currently exhibit leadership while working on any project for my college or high school classes. I take the role of a leader and always work diligently enough to get good compliments from peers and instructors.
You always behave, get work done on time, respect others, show your manners, and etc. Being a leader means you set a certain criteria for everyone around you and not show them what they should be, but show them that they have the potential to be that and more. The type of leader I believe I am, is a leader that is patient and willing to listen at all times. I would like people to know they will be able to come to me for advice both personal and professional. My leadership style will ensure that the individual will have the essential materials to be effective in our workplace. I will strive to make sure the individual will know how to obtain the correct answers to questions that may arise. If they cannot obtain the answers on their own, then i will strive to guide them on how to obtain the right answer.
I identify the role of leadership as someone who takes charge and leads by example. Being a leader is someone a person can look up to like a role model. I have demonstrated leadership by how my actions on the field are far greater than my words. By having years of experience I have learned the way to lead is putting in the extra effort, and my accomplishments demonstrate that. In addition to being a player on the field, I took on the important role and responsibility of being an umpire.
Being a leader involves many different characteristics. A leader must set the example for all others in the group, because if they are to show up late to practice, there isn’t a reason that any of the other members should not do the same. A leader must take risks for the benefit of the group as well as make sacrifices for it. Becoming the leader of the group requires for them to be the most dedicated. They must work harder and not be afraid to lead the group.
Leadership I am a motivated teacher and I love my students at Doss High School, where I teach Business classes. It is through my love of teaching that I am passionate about ensuring all children have the best opportunity to meet their life’s ambitions. I began my first four years of teaching with positive energy and a love of my career. I enjoyed teaching Career Choices class for sixth, seventh and eighth grade students at Frost Middle School. Although Frost Middle school was a persistently low achieving school that presented many challenges, after two years I felt like I was making an impact on my students.
A leader, as defined in Merriam-Webster dictionary, is something that leads. This does not wholly illustrate the traits and qualities required to be a leader. I envision a leader as one who creates a vision for the future and delivers that vision effectively to others, to motivate and inspire them. My description of a leader aligns with the goals the W. P. Carey School of Business has set forth, thus establishing a relationship that will be mutually beneficial. Throughout my life, I have been cognizant of the way I carry myself, from my mannerisms to my attitudes, working on my personal development to become the leader I aspire to become, especially when actions speak louder than words.

1. My philosophy of leadership is about collaboration and teamwork. Respecting and treating everyone the same, is key to supporting a good team atmosphere. I believe when a leader puts effort and care into assisting others, then their peers and followers will naturally want to support them. It is also important for a leader to recognize, that advocacy must never become so important that the critical elements of leadership are neglected (e.g. policy enforcement, command support, etc...).
In developing this paper on leadership, I examined what was most important to me as a leader. As I reflected on my leadership philosophy, I thought about my experiences and the principals that I have learned through my own self-discovery and the observation of other leaders that I have had throughout my life. My leadership philosophy is one driven by emotion. I want to be the leader that makes people feel. I want them to feel as though we are all part of a family and that they are cared about.
