I am most attracted to Loma Linda University’s mission to make man whole and continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ and its commitment to faith and science. As a Seventh-day Adventist christian, the motto to make man whole has never been more personal than it is now. As I grow in my experience as a christian, to further the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus continues to take center stage. This mission and an understanding of the need for whole person care is something I seek to demonstrate and encourage through my profession as a nurse and involvement in my community.
As a prospective member of the Masters of Arts in History program at Liberty University I hope to accomplish several things. I am currently serving as a high school history teacher and this program will benefit both my students and myself alike in the foreseeable future. This includes reaching the goals of earning my master’s degree which will result in a higher level of professional knowledge in my content area, while increasing my income simultaneously. This is not the only positive factor, Liberty’s program will also contribute directly to growth in regards to my relationship with Jesus Christ.
After exploring SCU, I found that it met both my wants and needs. With its location, 20 minutes from family, in the heart of Silicon Valley with many opportunities for internships, a diverse campus and personal attention from incredible professors, what more could I want?
University of Chicago has the major I am interested in, Biological Sciences with a concentration in Neuroscience. Through the wide variety of study abroad opportunities the university offers, I could study about Middle Eastern civilizations in Jerusalem or civilizations while in Vienna. Along with studying abroad, I would love to take a Big Problem course in my senior year of college. A Big Problem course would give me the skills and knowledge needed to face major problems in the field I desire to pursue, the medical field. I aspire to become a pediatric neurologist to help alleviate the impact a mental or intellectual disability has on children with special needs.
New York University has always been the school I have pictured myself attending since I was a child. I walk past NYU on my way home from school everyday and I can picture myself being involved in the energetic atmosphere that the school provides. NYU is a school which I believe will challenge me both academically and socially to help me become the best version of myself that I can be. The types of people which NYU help to educate are nothing short of spectacular both as people and in their fields.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application for the doctoral program at Florida Atlantic University. My interest in education began at a young age out of necessity. My upbringing was humble, and I was fortunate to have a healthy environment conducive to my education. However, that was the extent of my parents’ support.
Membership in Ball State University's Honors College presents an opportunity for me to be surrounded by peers who share a similar commitment to academic excellence. I am eager to build beneficial connections with like-minded students who take their education seriously. Furthermore, I look forward to interacting with professors who will challenge me to grow to my full potential. I believe that this stimulating and rigorous academic environment will push me to excel academically and personally.
I am writing this statement because it has been a goal of mine to attend the University of Chicago for a Master’s in Business Administration. I believe that this program will further develop the skills I have learned in the agricultural sector as well as my critical thinking ability to solve and manage issues within today's changing agribusiness field. I have always had an interest in business. When people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I would always say a businesswoman, it varied occasionally from a CEO to a Stockbroker, I knew from a young age that I wanted to work in business. During my time in grade school, I was ridiculed for being too interested in group work and wanting to take charge and lead the group not only to success
Because my parents are both artists who work internationally, I have grown up in many places, including New York. The city is a visual feast for which I have a perpetual hunger. It holds so much life. It seems as if one could witness every emotion on a single street. We exist so near to one another; and yet, everyone is a stranger.
Whatever type of job I want, I can get it. Whatever hobby I have, I can explore it. Whatever food I like, I can eat it. New York has it all. It is a dynamic core for commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, culture, entertainment, and cuisine.
I grew up in a suburban town in Connecticut, then moved to NYC for college where I studied International
I couldn't wait to graduate, to go to Alfred University. I chose Alfred because they also have a phenomenal engineering program. I was very interested in engineering at the time, and when I learned of the 4+1 program it "sealed the deal". Alfred to me, reminds me of my hometown, Cooperstown New York. Cooperstown, similar to Alfred,
The heart of New York City is New York University. By joining the network of NYU, I will be able to study at an institution that has a long tradition of academic excellence among private universities in the United States. Additionally, I will be able to be part of an internationally recognized learning network with locations all across the globe. It would be a pleasure to study at a globally recognized university. A friend of mine who is a recent graduate from NYU College of Nursing has praised the program and conveyed to me a very positive experience.
I remembered when my mother told me about us moving to New York, I was really happy because I was going to be living in the city that never sleeps. A city filled with people from diverse background who tolerated people from different background. I imagined living in a house with a garden, surrounded by caring neighbors and going to school in a cheese bus. However, my reality in living in NY was different from what I thought my ideal
A visit to New York City is an amazing experience for anyone. The atmosphere is completely different than the suburbs I’m so used to, which made all of the experiences even better. The memory is very vivid to me because of how fantastic the things to experience in the city are. The drive there from my suburban home was long, with not much to see as far as views on the way.
