Over the years obesity has become a national epidemic, and is one of the leading causes of death in North America. Obesity is seen as an issue but in reality it comes with many benefits that are not really discussed about. For instance, when obese people want to lose weight they would go to the gym, and have trainers, nutritionists, dieticians and more, and by that they are helping create more jobs. The more people trying to lose weight the more money these businesses are receiving, and the more workers that will be needed. With the state our world is at with the rapid population growth rate, there needs a way to somehow control it. The reason is, is that people who are extremely over weight usually have shortness of breath and lacks the motivation to do anything. Also people who are obese tend to get joint pain, which would really limit someone’s actions. With the lack of motivation and extreme laziness fewer crimes would be committed, and this would promote safer communities. Since obesity is becoming the norm,

Although the reasons I gave really do benefit the world, I am very skinny and it is very hard for me to gain any amount of weight. The world is full of many types of people and I feel that we should be more respectful towards other and not judge people on their looks or body type. Obesity greatly helps our world by supporting the economy, by creating more jobs for more people. Also with the issue of the rapid population growth, obese people risk their lives by being obese and becoming deceased to slow down population growth. Lastly we would have safer communities because people who are obese would lack the energy to actually commit a crime.
