According to Simpson and McConocha (1991), the mission statement puts into words what the overall purpose or mission of the organization is (para. 1). The mission of the organization I am employed with is to change the lives of individuals one by one. It is focused on offering them an opportunity at bettering themselves by offering them access to training and educational opportunities that will help them excel in life. According to Spangenberg and Theron (2001), internal control impacts the people, processes and physical structure of the organization (p. 35). There are some internal considerations that the organization I am employed with should examine to ensure that the mission is accomplished. One of those internal consideration would be the people on board. Within the organization it would seem important to ensure that there is a strong leadership in place that has the skill and experience necessary to help guide those under their supervision in the direction that will help the mission of the organization to be accomplished.
