During my childhood growing up all I remember is wanting to be a professional broadcaster. I loved sports as I was an all-state wrestler and football player throughout high school and knew I wanted to do amazing things in sports. See as you grow up your mind is not yet matured and you don't really know exactly what you want to do. I knew I wanted to provide a life for my family and give an opportunity to other that I was fortunate to have growing up. I saw my mother raise five children on a waitress paycheck barely getting me always struggling for money and never being able to do what we wanted. I came into Oswego as a young seventeen-year-old kid who was so naive to the world and other places and so close-minded. I can gladly say I’m graduating with my bachelors this May as a changed individual. Something that I never thought was possible just four years ago but it was. When I finally switched my major and started taking business classes I can honestly say I fell in love. I really enjoyed going to class and learning about all different phases of the business world. My two favorite courses were both management courses as these classes taught me skills on how to teach train and most importantly how to develop other people. I then used my knowledge from these classes which helped me excel in all the organizations and clubs I was involved with on campus. These classes at SUNY Oswego really developed me into a leader. I used these leadership skills to then go to different leadership schools across the country which developed me even further. Then taking everything I learned and bringing it back to SUNY Oswego to help others change their lives and maybe make an impact on the world just like how I was trying to do. Along the way, I've learned that I'm a very hard worker and my actions people follow. This was founded upon me through my experiences and classes/professors at SUNY Oswego.
