Personal Background and Professional Goal Statement

I am interested in being admitted into the college of education because it allows me to extend my knowledge in the field of education. The college of education will help me become an effective teacher and continue to work on updating my philosophies for teaching day by day. Once admitted I will use my new gained knowledge to enhance my teaching abilities and skills. When I was selecting what career I would want to pursue as a high school senior I knew I wanted to do something that would make an impact, and most of all I wanted to do something that I would find pleasure in doing. I have to admit that education was not the first dream I chanced it actually was engineering. I am at a point in my life where I can be a positive influence among young adolescents and I find happiness in knowing that I might play a small part in helping someone achieve their own personal goals. I am interested in becoming a SPED teacher for elementary schools because I want to be able to create effective lesson plans and assessments that not only just teach the content I am required to teach, but also the motivation to continue to succeed in life. I believe in better. Better schools, better education, and better lives. I am committed to putting my best foot forward and encouraging my students to do the same with everyday
