Anne Frank went into hiding in early July, 1942. Before going into hiding, she was given a diary for her birthday. She called her diary Kitty, and confided in her. It seemed the only way Anne could get her true feelings out were by the words she wrote. Anne dreamed of living beyond her death. This is true because of the lives touched by her diary. Many people have read this book and have heard her story. The words she chose to write down will now live on forever. They are preserved in time and the lives touched by this personal story will always remember her, and what she went through. The accounts in this book will be remembered and shared. Anne has lived beyond her death, and by doing so, she has told her story to many, even if she is not physically here, …show more content…

If I had a choice, though, I would not take her away from the Annex. The Annex is a part of Anne, She spent the last two years of her life there. The Annex is a part in Anne’s life that should never be changed. It would be quite wonderful if she could have lived. She could have to her story to people in person. Although, if it was me, I would give my life to know that my words of wisdom would be told to millions, maybe even billions of people. Anne must know how many people she touched and how her story lives on even 72 years after she has died. If Anne had survived the war, I don’t think she would have published her diary right away. Maybe some time after the war, but not right way. Her diary was a part of her, and I don’t think she would have published it right away. I don’t think she would have liked people reading it so soon after the war, and while she was still alive. But, I do think she would be okay with people reading it now, if she could see how many people know her story and what she went
