Leadership
According to me Leadership is a capability of an individual of leading a team or an organization to achieve a desired target. It is the ability to provide direction toward the future aspirations and guide the followers to achieve the goal. Nowadays leadership is a highly dynamic and forever changing requirement for all the societies. The particular concept of leadership is dependent on a number of various events, environments, teams, importance or values and objectives. Our work was to sell software to the customers over the phone. We had to convince them to buy the software which will be beneficial for the customers. I had a team of 10 members who used to work under my supervision. My boss of the company used to me a monthly target. So I used to divide the work amongst the members of my team so that we can achieve the target easily. I always motivated my team so that they can do the work easily and properly. Most of the day I rewarded my team member’s with daily incentives so they can focus on their work and achieve the target on time. Strategic management is one of the unique qualities of leadership whereby the leaders try to achieve the organizational goals by setting a vision, formulating the objectives of the goal and strategies according to time bound to achieve the goal and lastly analyzing the results whether the goal has been reached to clarify the strategies. “As strategic leaders, top level managers must guide the firm in a ways that result in formation of strategic intent and strategic mission. This guidance may lead to goals that stretch everyone in the organization to improve their performance.” (Griffin, R.W, 1999)
