Through working towards my goals, I’ve learned a significant amount about the fields of pharmacy and have developed myself to better obtain my goals. As I learned about the process of obtaining a residency and talking to pharmacist in different fields, I have taken on roles and projects that helped me to be a more competitive candidate for residency in the future. For example, I’ve taken on executive positions in two clubs and helped to bring Phi Delta Chi to the campus. While I became very busy juggling the new responsibilities with schoolwork, I’ve learned how to better balance my time and how to become a more effective leader. Working with other students and attending different meetings has also made me more confident and improved my communication skills. Furthermore, accomplishing my goals lead me to talking with many students, facility, and pharmacist, which has also given me a vast prospective into pharmacy, which has helped to motivate me professionally and helped to finetune the pathway to my goals. Ultimately, pursuing my goals from CPD has helped me to gain many skills, broaden my outlook, and help me map my future, which is all invaluable for me as I advance further into the world of pharmacy. …show more content…
I would like to change them to progress into the future to do further research into my two selected fields of interest and to continue to meet with pharmacist/faculty to truly see if those fields are the best fit for me. My second goal also needed little modifications, as I’ve attended many events where I learned how residents are selected and what type of residency programs there are.
