When I first started at Southern Wesleyan University, I felt like learning was important to my life. I wanted to have more growth and development. I have always felt this way about learning. I feel that I can learn basically anything, and that limitations on my learning can limit what I can do in life. I think of learning as fueling my possibility for achieving. Learning to me opens up my option and increases my opportunities that might be available. My perspective when I first started was that since I was not yet completely sure what I wanted to do with my life, so I wanted to keep my options open by learning about many different things. This will also make life better for my children and I. In the meanwhile this will make me be more of an empowered as an agent in my own life. I also feel like I will lead a more examined life. However I feel like I can be an example for other people and let them see all things are possible. One of the biggest thing is I will have a strong sense of pride about myself. When I learned I had a worldview, my world didn’t change. But I begin to change my understanding of my life, other human beings, society, and where I am in history and what that means. The way I perceive things and gain knowledge made me learn something very useful and important .I learned about things I didn’t know I knew. Understanding what worldview meant to me brought clarity, not only to what I believe, but how I believe what I believe. I believe God created us to do a job and to make life-determining decision that he will hold us accountable for. I’m going on and on about the my world views. Furthermore world views set a basic beliefs–about God, the world, human beings, history, death, knowing, as well as many more things–that make up what a person assumes to be true.
