Engineering is an aspect of our society which I believe is essential and is rapidly growing, becoming more and more fundamental; the most prevalent of which being electronics, governing nearly everything from transport to medical to recreational use. Throughout my life I have had family members working and being involved in many different aspects of engineering; ranging from computer based electronics to mechanical and motorsport engineering, which has fed my interest in the subject. For me this means that electronics and technology has been a consistent aspect over the majority of my life. This has allowed my interest and knowledge in technology and electronics to develop and grow into something substantial. I have always been inspired by …show more content…
The subject I am now greatly interested in pursuing as a career, is that of electronics and robotics. I am currently studying for a level 3 diploma in Personal Training and fitness instructing. This course will provide me with an increased, in depth knowledge of the human body and the biomechanics that govern it, which will allow me to effectively link this with the study of robotics and aspects of electronic engineering at degree level. I have developed many academic and personal skills during my time at Bideford College. These skills include an ability for self-directed study, effective IT skills and the ability to communicate with others effectively. In addition, I have developed my leadership, teamwork and empathy with others; I can demonstrate such skills having completed Ten Tors as team leader, working as part of the tech/support team on several College productions and during my part-time working environment at Tesco. During my time at college I took part in several sports and events, these include rowing, athletics, rugby, being part of a relay triathlon team and ten tors, having taken part in these at several events and competitions. During March of 2017 I will be attending a coaching residential in Zwolle,
