Education is the key for seeking social change. In my case, I want to be as a role model and show that when having the desire to do something you can always accomplish it. By attaining my education I want to motivate my upcoming generations to pursue a higher education and show them that if I did it they can also as well. I want to Become the first one in my family to graduate from a four-year college, but not the only one. And show my brother, nephews, nieces that education is something that will never be taken away, and is something that will be cherished for a lifetime. Over my educational career, I have learned to embrace and use this obstacle to enrich my motivation to finish my post-secondary education. Hard work is a habit that has been imposed on me, by seeing my dad working long shifts to provide for what was the need for us. I remember as a child not been able to see my dad until 6 or 7 sometimes even at 8 at night. Not being able to spend time with him as I would have liked. I have many experiences where I could see my dad physically and mentally exhausted from a long day of field work. Times when he just wanted to be left alone, by how tired he was feeling. I remember Feeling guilty, so I would just turn around and begin walking back to my bed, this became an essential turning point in my life. Even though I was very young this is the time where I realized that I wanted to help my parents, and I knew that education was going to be the key. High school was challenging, especially when I didn’t have anyone to walk he through it. My parents didn’t know how to help me in school, they only used their words to encourage me and telling me that I could do it. They have encouraged me to become one someone they didn't have the opportunity to be.
