During my first two years of college, I completed my pre-business core classes, became the treasurer of a fraternity, and volunteered time to local organizations. I was proud to have stayed on course. The completion all of my pre classes allowed myself to see the different possibilities that were offered within the college of business. After being accepted into pro-school, I have been able to start thinking more about my goals and future career. I plan on working for a large corporation, as a marketing manager or within a marketing management team; this led me to declare my major in business marketing. Each of these classes has presented me with useful skills that have allowed me to become a better communicator and team player. BA 160 helped me understand the importance of organization and being a team leader. This is something that allows me to work better in group project situations as well as work well with various types of people. BA 353 has helped me prepare for major professional interviews with confidence in my skills and abilities. Finally, BA 352 has taught me how to be a leader of inspiration and motivation. BA 352 was one of the first classes where I was able to learn terms, strategies and process that were important to management and future career. I know employers in my field will look for someone with confidence and strong management skills, which each of those courses has prepared me for. I plan on taking more career-specific courses in the future such as MGMT 364 (Project Management) MGMT 452 (Leadership), MGMT 455 (Influence & Negotiation) and MGMT 453 (Human Resources Management). These topics really interest me and will hopefully give me a better idea on internships or jobs I’d like to pursue post
