I believe I am a perfect candidate for FIT due to my interest in clothing and sneakers while growing up. It started with collecting and learning as much as I can about the industry and products before I even knew that this was what I wanted to do, it was a fun hobby for myself. To understand how things are made I would rip up old sneakers and clothes to see the process. I was originally fascinated with architecture and I feel it also closely relates with fashion due to the aspects of design and creativity.
While going to school I worked construction, ranging from framing, roofing, plumbing, and kitchen cabinetry. I feel those jobs have given me a very strong work ethic due to the manual labor and getting work done correct and on time. Those experience's I feel related closely to product management because like building a house there are certain steps that need get done first. There are different people doing the different steps waiting on one another to finish their job up so the next can start, where things need to line up to get the job done on time. I believe with an understanding of that on a large-scale like building a home it will help me with product development. Keeping things on track and running smoothly is a big concern for me and has been due to construction.

The sneakers store called The Sneaker Spy has been rated by Complex Magazine as one of the best resale shops. I am the only person working there beside the owner, giving me a lot of responsibilities. From inventory management to online sales, customer service, updating/building the website, marketing, buying, and creative direction of the store, I was able to learn and be involved with everything. Once I entered the shop it started running a lot smoother, I think that is due to the work ethic I gained from construction. I am a strong believer in doing things right the first time so it does not have to be
