The root of some of my goals, interests, passions and dreams is karate. I commenced practicing karate when I was 6 years old, as just for the sake of merriment with my friends who were all in the same classes as me, but the significance of it to me has matured tremendously. One thing I relish about karate is how much exercise I obtain from it, because not only does it help me stay robust, but it also releases endorphins which makes people experience a pleasant sensation. Before every karate class we have to recite the Student Pledge, which states that you’ll be patient with others, persevere through all things, and be diligent, so I also am fond of the state of mind that I learn from karate. I have an interest in math, since that after you learn a new formula or concept, you learn another and they all fit together perfectly. I am also very skilled at it and since I understand it I enjoy it very much. Another one of my interests is science, because I am fascinated in learning more about how the earth, space, humans, etc. work, are composed of, etc. and I enjoy performing labs in science class since its hands on and you can see it in the real world. Furthermore, I also love reading books because it’s like you jump into a whole other world full of fascinating ideas and plots. These interests have fueled my passion to get into a good high school, and thus get a good education that includes these interests. This also goes along with my goal to graduate college with a Phd, because I would be intrigued by the classes I would be taking. This also correlates with my dream job to become a forensic pathologist, because it involves lots of school, before one can become one.
