I am interested in studying astrophysics because I have always been interested in space and celestial objects. I have decided to pursue this passion because of the money I can get having a job like this and because my mind is curious so it wants to see how far I can push myself to go and achieve this goal. Being an astrophysicist, means you study and write theories about space and celestial objects (www.space.com). If you were just beginning, on a daily basis you would have to deal with reducing spectroscopic data, reading papers, doing analyses, and attending meetings (https://astrobites.org). If I had this job my favorite part of the day would probably be going on the daily break and hanging out with fellow co-workers who I have befriended …show more content…
In those fields, you need around 8-10 years of education and experience (www.academicinvest.com). I plan on studying at a college or university like Harvard University or Stanford University because they both offer classes that would help me (colleges.startclass.com). After that, when you get a job you can get paid from below $58,850 to above $166,400 per year for the work you put in (www.academicinvest.com). This, of course, depends on the responsibilities, the size and type of employer, and the qualifications you have (www.academicinvest.com). Starting out, you can get a job as a Postdoctoral researcher and work your way to the top (lifehacker.com). Other than that, any extra expenses you may pay might include the room and board, books and supplies, or anything else you may need at around $18,312 extra (colleges.startclass.com). In conclusion, I would enjoy being an astrophysicist when I am older wherever NASA has a job offered because I enjoy creating theories and am curious about the wonders of space. Also, in my opinion, it would be really breathtaking to work for NASA as popular as they
