Ever since childhood, art has been the integral part of my development as an individual. Art has always called out to me when contemplating over conventional majors such as Business or Engineering was the way to go. Though there is nothing wrong with picking popular majors to satisfy external influences such as friends and family members—I, on the other hand, believe outside influences should not determine my happiness. I strongly believed in pursuing my passion of Art. When it came to my parents, they just wanted me to be content and financially independent.

Growing up, I always had a sensitivity for art. At the age of six, I was secretly giving drawing lessons, during class time, to other kids who struggled to draw accurately. As a result, It helped build my confidence as a young girl. My classmates and teachers were impressed by my fluency of imagination, expression, and elaboration of various forms, and the various objects and people I could draw were endless. This helped build my confidence because academics was not my strongest area as a child. My talents in painting and drawing continue to increase as I got into the ninth grade. In high school, there was a strong correlation to taking courses in art and my grades; I notice that I prevailed in academics when I was taking art classes. When it comes to teachers, I realized that there is more to just being an educator: I am also going to be a mentor, confidant and friend. Teaching is not easy, but I am not afraid of a challenge. My future students will use the arts as an instrument for communication, a way to express their ideas that are beyond the capacity of words and a medium for cultural enlightenment.
