Having success with a skill or talent takes passion, hard work, and determination. While everyone has a passion and interest for something not everyone is gifted with the ability to perform their talents at the highest level without effort. Those who do have a natural talent for something they are passionate about are blessed. I personally feel like I am gifted in the area I am passionate about which is working with animals. I have had an interest in this area since I was 10 years old.
I’m currently studying year 11 at Redlynch State College and do a variety of subjects such as; Maths A, English, Health, Ancient History and geography. I’m also studying a certificate cause, tourism as well as an extra curriculum class. At the moment im not too sure what I want to be when im older but I have started to think about it as I’m close to graduating. As I love travelling places and want to explore the world, im thinking of becoming a travel agent as I would get great opportunities to travel places and discover different types food and culture. I would also see my future to live a happy healthy life with my friend and family by my side.
In my opinion, every student in America should be required to complete a sociology course at some point in their education. It not only can provide an unbiased education of our society, but it also challenges points of view and allows for students to explore and form their own opinions about their environment. By creating more sociologically aware individuals, unity would be more achievable for our country and settle the conflict we face. This is what sociology has done for me as a student and because of this, I believe other students should have the opportunity to experience the class as well. Sociology is unbiased which provides students, like myself, with a solid base education of the world we live in.
My career in software started from my love of innovation and the fast pace environment of the technology industry. In my current role as a customer success manager, I am responsible for advising and guiding a wide variety of customers to ensure they have implemented our software successfully. I have had the privilege of working cross-functionally with several teams like sales, professional services, finance, and customer support. While working with those teams, I have learned the skills to build last relationships, compassion, and to be a role model for others. My palms were sweaty, there was butterflies in my stomach, and as it was my turn to talk I began to feel the future pit stains that were soon to come. For only about 20 seconds, I was about to speak in front of the rotary club about my achievements and activities in high school as a well my future plans, yet, I was nervous. After I was finished speaking I went back to my seat and a retired engineer whispered to me, “It is hard for us engineer types to talk in front of a crowd, but I did a good job.” Although the field of engineering is math and science focused, communication skills are necessary as well. Communication skills rely heavily on reading and writing skills.
Good education, in my opinion, is the most important element we can influence to the young generation. Being able to empower children to understand the foundational knowledge and skills, in which they will utilise in the future, is a gift. I believe that teachers play an immeasurable role in a student’s life from a young age until when they become young adults. My passion for becoming a teacher stems from my various experiences, where I undertook my first employment as a tutor.
John Dewey had once said “Education is not preparation for life: Education is life itself. This quote from John explains my belief of how everyone should be able to have an education no matter what their money status, where they live or their criminal history. Around 57 million children around the world do not have any type of school to go to. I believe that education provides us the knowledge to better ourselves, better the world and give us a way to have a successful and fulfilling life.
My plans and goals after I finish this Master’s degree program is to eventually to work my way up to a project management position. I currently work at the Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers, Florida as a Web Applications Developer where my primary responsibilities include the development and implementation of dynamic web based applications that would integrate into the College-wide enterprise application suite and any other third-party systems and services. I am using PHP (a server-side scripting language) and CodeIgniter (a popular PHP web framework) to create these modern web applications for the college. My future career goal is to hold an administrative or project management role that would oversee and manage all levels of web operations particularly in application development and integration. An application administrator’s main responsibility would be to assure that the following characteristics are incorporated in the production of each enterprise application: reliability, security, scalability, interoperability, usability, testability, and ensuring that the performance of these applications
Since I was a little girl I wanted to be a dentist. I had always changed my mind of what I wanted to be because everything was interesting to me. By the time I was 13, 1 confirmed that I wanted to be a dentist because my cousin was studying to become a dentist and she used to teach me everything she knew and it was really interesting to me. Also every time I went to the dentist it amazed me how they can fix a tooth in such a short time. That made me sign up for the dental assisting program at Warren.
Nursing is a very demanding, challenging, and competitive career which requires a strong amount of determination and focus. It is a career where an individual’s continuously learning and it brings out new challenges in the daily life. Growing up I was very passionate about helping other people, and nursing is a profession where they support people in need. My caring personality has dragged my attention towards it even further.
