Did you know that About 1.06 million abortions were performed in the U.S. in 2011? (guttmacher.org). This huge number of abortions means that there were almost 1.06 million people we will never have the chance to meet or that did not have the chance to live. Did you also know that almost twenty-one percent of pregnancies end in abortion? (guttmatcher .org)
Each baby has the right to live just like we get to live. The choice of abortion also means that when we were conceived our mom had the choice to not have you; let that sink in. Abortion should be illegal in the United States because signs of life exist in a fetus, life of a baby should not be lost, the Unborn Victims of Violence Act recognizes fetuses as actual babie, and even though many women think not, other choices besides abortion exist and risks of abortion may cause physical …show more content…

People say they are expecting a baby when they tell the family. No one ever says they are expecting a fetus or expecting something that has no life. Birth needs to be given to all babies in the womb. We were all put on earth for a reason. If the baby does not get to live then we will never know how amazing of a person the baby could have been. Lastly, The Unborn Victims of Violence Act, signed by President George W. Bush in 2004, recognizes an unborn child as a person. In this act, an individual who injured or kills an unborn child in the process of killing or hurting the pregnant mom, will be charged with a second offense. (NCLA). This act says that someone who hurts a child will be punished for it, but when people who work in an abortion clinic kill the child inside of the womb and are payed for it, it is okay to kill the baby. The person committing the abortion of the child is not punished at all. Why should it be different if a criminal or abortionist kills the baby? Either way the baby inside of the womb will not get to live their life because someone killed
