Illegal Immigration
Illegal immigration has been an epidemic in the United States of America for a very long time. Illegal immigration is when foreign people will enter the United States without any type of permission. Millions of people have crossed the U.S to Mexico border over the 20th century. Illegal immigration has also sparked a lot of political controversy over the recent years because of Donald Trump’s proposed border wall, separating the U.S and Mexico. Illegal immigration is a very dangerous and causing problems in the United States so the country needs to upgrade its securities in the United States and on the border.
The statistics of illegal immigration in the U.S are very shocking. The United States is still the top illegal immigration destination with “⅕ of all immigrants being in the United States”(Zong). This is showing how that the United States has a lot of illegal immigrants in the country and should be reprimanded. The median age of illegal immigrants is from 36 to 44. Also, there is currently “22 million illegal immigrants in the United States.”(Zong). It’s adults coming in illegally, mostly and not children. In 2014 illegal immigrants were being arrested a lot and convicted of crimes for over”13% of all crimes in the United States.”(Fair). This is very dangerous to American lives as all of these crimes are from people who are here illegally with unknown backgrounds. From 2005 to 2008 67,642 murders were committed in the United States and ”25,064 of those murders were from illegal immigrants in the United States.”(Fair). It is very shocking that how many murders happen with illegal immigrants and how safety is very low. These murders and crimes are proving even more how the United States needs to up it's security inside and help people feel
