Weed, grass,pot, and Mary Jane are all names for the same dangerous product; marijuana. Though the names are funny, legalizing marijuana is a serious subject, and should be seen as such. Legalizing marijuana, whether it be recreational or medical, is wrong because, marijuana poses serious health problems to the users and to the people around them. Marijuana poses serious health risks to the users of it and the people around them. Many people are on the fence about this subject, but they should look at the facts. The facts are that , since Colorado, America is seeing the real threat that marijuana poses against a person’s health. Marijuana is addictive. 9 % of all marijuana users become addicted to it, and 17% of adolescent users become addicted. Becoming addicted to a substance like marijuana is dangerous. Marijuana slows a person’s reaction time. This causes a person to be more likely to be in a fatal car accident. Long-term users of marijuana, as well as adolescent users, have altered brain development and a slower reaction time than non-marijuana users.
