The United States Postal Service has been the main way of communication for people for over 200 years. Postal carriers and workers help in the communication process for people all over the United States and the world. After the mail is sorted by workers, the mail is then delivered by plane or automobile to its next destination and to your door. The Postal Service makes all this happen on a day-to-day basis all over the United States.
In the beginning, mail carriers were important to society because they helped people communicate across long distances. You have to take a test and have a high school diploma. According to “USPS Compensation and Benefits”, “The Postal Service offers a learning environment that reinforces success through training initiatives that allow employees to improve basic operational knowledge and gain leadership skills”. They need to skilled enough to experience how they do things in a post office. If you didn’t for a job, you will never get how to do it.
When you train to be a postal carrier, you have to do a lot. There is a lot of different ways to train when you want to be a postal carrier. That means mail carriers in Illinois make approximately $3,912.50/month, $978.12/week, and $24.65/hour. In conclusion, postal workers make a very good annual income, especially when no post-secondary education is required.
Full-time and part-time mail carriers get time off of work. Carriers do not need to come in every day to work at the post office. As stated on the website called “Working at USPS Comparisons and Benefits”, “The United States Postal Service lets you have 10 days each year to take personal time off.” The Postmaster gives a certain number of days off so employees can stay at home or hang out with family members. In conclusion, The United States Postal Service gives personal days off to employees so employees can attend appointments or special events without taking sick
