“It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education.”-Albert Einstein. Education is very important in modern society. It is the key to learning and growing in all aspects of life.
However, education nowadays has failed to support this statement. Educational Systems in schools and university’s often fail to educate their students correctly. Overcrowded classes and lack of qualified educational instructors fail to give students the individual attention often needed. The government’s low educational budget causes schools to cut teachers’ salaries which lead to unmotivated teachers and poor education quality. Our education system is failing due to overcrowded classrooms, lack of finances and standardized testing. Overcrowded classrooms have been a long time problem in the educational system of schools. “Teaching to the test” concentrates on crucial academic content and aptitudes. As per studies led by testing researcher Richard P. However, according to Columbia University guide “Pros and Cons of Standardized Testing”(2013), standardized testing bases students’ achievements on one particular testing day and doesn’t take to account a student’s all over growth, performance and understanding throughout the course.
