My path to law school has began in my sophomore year of college, now I am ready for the challenges ahead with an eagerness to learn. I have discovered over the years that I embody the unique combination of activism, diligence, and courage beneficial for a legal career. I originally had an interest in pursuing a law degree as a student in the School of International and Public Affairs at Florida International University. At the time, I chose to major in criminal justice with the intention of becoming a defense attorney. However as I neared graduation I was not certain about a career as a defense attorney.
I would like to be apart of ASB because I’m interested in helping Medea be the best school it can be. I always like to learn new things and I will appreciate new experiences learning from seventh and eighth graders. I am responsible and I am excited for my leadership skills to be tested. Also, I will gain more responsibility and learn more leadership skills throughout my time in ASB. As part of ASB, I will be able to work with other students who have similar interests and want to be fellow leaders at Medea.
Anticipate what it will be like for you as a student at the University of Delaware. Both in and out of the classroom, where do you expect to feel most comfortable and where will you need to stretch? As a student at University of Delaware I would hope to do extremely well in my classes and earn academic achievement in my field of study. I feel proficient in academics, but there are other areas where I wish to improve.
I am currently working as an LPN rooming patients in an OB/GYN clinic. My job includes taking vitals, updating medical records as necessary, preparing exam rooms for the providers, administering injections and medications per order, and recording signs and symptoms for the providers. I work along side the providers and midwives assisting with procedures. I place OB patients on the non-stress testing machines and educate patients on topics such as breastfeeding, maintaining a healthy pregnancy, etc. Working here, I 've been able to witness many situations that drive me to want to succeed as a doctor, such as being able to assist patients who are in active labor or empowering patients to take better care of their health.
In today’s economy, there’s no time to waste on workers who lack the necessary skills and motivation. I’ve got what you need. I am a senior at DePaul University majoring in Finance with a minor in Real Estate, I am expected to graduate November 2017. To be a trailblazer in my family means more to me than to some others. My family came from Cameroon, Africa as a family of seven. The path to pharmacy started with me working on another passion: creative floral design. It is passion because it has given me an outlet to not only be creative but to also help others, to uplift them, to express emotions for whatever the occasion may be. While working at my mother’s flower shop, I was able to meet Nancy. We had many conversations together. She asked me about my future, what I wanted to do.
To begin this writing, I want to say I am very honored to be part of the 2022 waitlist, I see it as another opportunity to prove myself worthy of Stern. I lived in Nigeria for almost nine years, and the things I saw have had a lasting impact in my life. In Nigeria, I was surrounded by extreme poverty. Many people searched and craved for a life worth living. People, even children, were begging for money and carrying heavy baskets filled with food on their head just to get enough money to support their family.
Having a Masters degree would not only improve my quality of life but will also assist me in reaching my career goal. I am applying for the Business management and leadership program because I would like to be an effective leader in mentoring underprivileged children. With this program, I will gain the knowledge and the ability to develop and to understand leadership and managerial skills in terms of its coursework, and research projects, while learning from a global perspective. The challenges I overcame, and the discipline I have developed, and the knowledge I have acquired makes me a good fit for this program.
I was born and raised in the town of Griffith, NSW. The only times I have ever left were for small trips, usually not lasting more than a day. I’ve been to Sydney once in my life, and I loved it. Compared to Griffith, Sydney is like an open field full of opportunities and ways to build a prosperous future. Griffith, while it does have its fair share of things to do and people to help, pales in comparison.
