Having a Masters degree would not only improve my quality of life but will also assist me in reaching my career goal. I am applying for the Business management and leadership program because I would like to be an effective leader in mentoring underprivileged children. With this program, I will gain the knowledge and the ability to develop and to understand leadership and managerial skills in terms of its coursework, and research projects, while learning from a global perspective. The challenges I overcame, and the discipline I have developed, and the knowledge I have acquired makes me a good fit for this program. When I applied for college, I knew I had to pay my way so I juggled the demands of work and going to school in order to financially support myself and earn my Bachelors degree. My first two years of college, I was part of the ASAP program, I receive all the benefits offered by that program except tuition because of my immigration status. In return, I had to register as a full-time student each semester and be present for each meeting session in the program, though I had to work and fulfill my finical responsibilities. That program pushed me to demand more from myself, I worked tirelessly to ensure that I reach my educational goals and I was glad it did. I graduated on time with a 3.4 GPA. …show more content…
