As junior year begins, students begin to feel mixed emotions of excitement and nerves. Thoughts of graduation, coupled with secondary schooling plans, flood the minds of many teenagers. In an effort to minimize the amount of worries and stress the students may feel, high school counselors encourage students to begin to look at college possibilities and considerations prior to their senior year. In addition to the colleges and universities that students show interest in, it is important to understand and be familiar with the various requirements and application processes of such schools. With a mere population of 18,316 students, and an acceptance rate of 17.8% in the most recent admission process, the University of Southern California is a challenging, but highly rewarding college to attend. Likewise, accepted applicants of the University of Sothern California have an average SAT score of 2067 and an average ACT composite score of 31. Although SAT Subject Tests are not recommended for admissions, they are highly recommended. In addition to an impressive grade point average of 3.89, applicants to the University of Sothern California must also provide a letter of recommendation and personal statement essay. The application itself requires a payment of eighty dollar from each applicant.
