As we were given the assignment to be able to come up with a senior project idea, my mind went to all sorts of places. I would think: what is something that I have always wanted to do, but cannot seem to find the time to do it? I thought that exercising has always been an important thing in my life and eating healthy because I feel like a whole new person when I am doing these two things. I am someone that is constantly stressed and came to notice that as I am exercising, I’m not thinking; I don’t think about what I have to do later in the day or what’s coming up the next week, I live in that moment, in the now, when I am exercising. The two things combined are an essential part of anyone’s life, which is why I chose this for my senior project - knowing that I have no excuse to not keep on doing these things, so having to find time for this is key.

I began to exercise in September, and I came to notice that it would hurt severely; this would cause me to stop exercising due to how intense the pain would get and how much it would hurt even when I stopped. Taking a break and starting my exercise in November didn’t help me at all, it continued to hurt even more and would not decrease. This made me wonder what was going on and decided that going to the doctor was the best option since it was hard to understand what was going on with my body.
