This little book is a metaphorical synopsis of the dynamics of organizations. The authors compare organizations to a tree. The roots of the tree are the starting foundational factors from where the company grows including the physical structure and the social structure. The trunk of the tree is the leadership of the organization. The trunk has to be flexible, yet firm enough to hold up the company. The leaves and branches encompass the culture of the organization. The culture stems from the roots, leadership, and the other members within the organization. The social norms and values of the organization create the culture dynamics. The authors discuss the idea of an iceberg detailing
