“The original title that William Shakespeare chose for Romeo and Juliet was actually The Most Excellent and Lamentable Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet.”Also women were not allowed to act on the stage of the play.(1) In the novel, Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, there are multiple issues that contribute the tragedy. The story was written in the 16th century and took place in the city of Verona. Tybalt plays a dramatic part in Romeo and Juliet’s downfall. He is excessively excited to start a quarreled fight. He wants to kill Romeo, however begins insulting Mercutio. As they battle, Romeo enters and tries to stop the battle, Tybalt stretches around Romeo and takes a cheap attack at Mercutio and kills him. His second mistake he made was when he ran away when Juliet needed him the most, and by leaving her alone, she kills herself. He attempted to help Juliet but he was being selfish and did not want to get caught. Friar Laurence was the main reason for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. The lovers themselves, Romeo and Juliet played an important role in their downfall since they were the ones who conferred suicide. They had a decision to commit suicide or not. It is preposterous to toss the fault on someone else or an issue that influenced them to commit suicide. Romeo and Juliet were in charge of their own deaths as proved by Romeo's and Juliet's decision to follow up on their adoration for each other too rapidly, their choice to conceal their affections for each other from their family, and taking their own particular lives without anyone else unrestrained choice. Also, Romeo had liked another young lady before he saw and afterward out of the blue he was profoundly infatuated with Juliet.
