Dear Leeds Career Peer Advisor Recruiter,
I am a sophomore finance and accounting major in the Leeds School of Business, also working towards my global certificate. After receiving an email searching for a student career peer advisor in the development office, I was very eager to apply for the position. This position as a peer advisor is especially attractive to me because it gives me an opportunity to expand upon my professionalism and communication skills in the business world, while also taking on an essential leadership role within Leeds. The career development office in Leeds plays a vital role in progressing students’ futures, including my own. Being a student at Leeds for three semesters has given me more opportunities than I could have ever imagined. I have participated in different Leeds Professional Mentorship Programs, attended numerous networking events, and utilized the multitude of career resources available. These opportunities have given me information that I can pass down to my peers, pushing them in the direction towards achieving their goals. In addition to attending these on-campus and local events, I also participated in a First-year Global Experience to the United Kingdom and Ireland.
