As I strive to achieve great academic success and leadership at Montana State University, I hope that my previous experiences will catalyze this process. Using my interests in academics, participation in extracurricular activities, and my own strengths, I hope to become a strong leader. I know I can achieve being both a scholar and an example for other students by utilizing my previous experiences. When I start my journey at Montana State, I expect to find students with common academic interests as myself. My goal is to connect with these students, who appreciate education in a similar way I do, in order to help each other understand topics or lessons that we will learn.

SMU provides opportunities for students to participate in research. I am thrilled at the prospect of conducting research with the mentorship of a faculty professor or getting involved in research within the engaged learning initiative. Ongoing research by SMU professors of biology relating to cancer and gene expression is interesting, and particularly exciting to me because I want to pursue a career in medicine. In addition, SMU is located in the Dallas where I live.

I see myself being an engaged member of the WCU and Brinson Honors College community by being involved in community service opportunities, becoming a member of leadership organizations, and taking advantage of opportunities to study and serve in a different country or to participate in undergraduate studies. I plan to be engaged in the WCU community by being involved in all that I can be involved in. Specifically, I hope to become involved in at least one of the faith-based groups on campus, such as the Baptist Student Fellowship at WCU or the Campus Crusade for Christ. Becoming involved in faith-based organizations is important to me and will allow me to love God and love people better by learning more about God and participating in service projects that will share his love and truth. Additionally, I want to join a local Church family, where I hope to serve in various aspects of the Church, especially those that involve children, something that I am passionate about.
My time here at the University of California, Santa Cruz has been one of the most interesting times of my life. I have learned so much, both academic and socially. I come from a lower, middle class family. Both of my parents are employed full time but do not make enough income to supply the $20,000 it takes to attend Missouri State. They have always encouraged me to want more for myself, both in my career and in my life in general. Although I am still deciding on a major, I know that I want to make enough money to live comfortably and be able to provide for my family.
All along, I have managed to maintain the principles of ethics and integrity, a strong sense of purpose, and morality, which binds me rigidly. My academic interest at USC is to pursue a path down the business administration field, to grow my knowledge and to understand how to apply concepts taught in class into the real world. I believe that the Marshall School of Business is one of the best places in the country where I can learn and grasp the intricate structure of business administration, particularly in entrepreneurship. My goal in life is to one day own a business starting from the foundation working up to however vastly it may grow. With one of the best entrepreneurship programs in the nation, Marshall goes far beyond the average business curriculum, which is what I’m yearning for. At USC I intended to pursue internships with companies that can provide insight of how businesses
I chose to pursue a degree in political science in order to obtain a career that would provide me the capacity to have a significant and lasting impact on my community. As a political science student at USC, I would pursue any opportunity that would enrich my academic experience as well as allow me to become an effective leader that contributes to the USC community. One potential opportunity that I would seek upon becoming a USC student is to join the Political Science Undergraduate Association, or the PSUA. I believe that joining this organization and eventually gaining a leadership role would allow me to promote learning
Growing up in three countries was an experience which allowed me to appreciate that everyone in the world is comprised of different backgrounds, passions and values. With undergraduate students from over 100 countries, Boston University is the place to feed my desire to understand the nuances and complexities of the cultures which shape our world, and to help me grow not just as an individual but as a member of humanity. To support me in that, I look to BU’s history major. With concentrations ranging from that of conventional history, to unique interdisciplinary courses such as the History of International Relations, I will be able to explore my passions thoroughly. Classes such as European Dimensions of the Black Diaspora will allow me to
Statement of Purpose Coming from a generation that is considered to be frivolous by our preceding generation, I assure you that despite our non-pristine ways; the basis of what we millennials want to do is the same as what they do: make a difference in the lives of people and make this world a better place. Not too long ago, I thought that earning a degree, finding a job would help me lead a happy, fulfilling life. It didn’t even seem that difficult at the time until I actually went to college and got exposed to some real world situations of life. While having a full life was an important part of my plan, I learned that it wasn’t enough. My father taught me to believe that every life on this planet has a purpose and I consequently instilled
