They are very expensive and when missions fail lots of money is lost. There are lots of factors to consider in any part of space exploration. Starting with the advantages of the rovers, one of the biggest ones would be that it allows detailed up close aspects and features of different planets without the use of an actual person. They can also go to planets that humans are not capable of going to and would most likely die of they did. A big problem in space exploration would be the danger involved.
If NASA was getting 16.1 billion dollars a year as it was in 2005 that means that NASA added 180 billion dollars to the economy. The continued growth of NASA’s budget will only have a positive effect on the
Advance Exploration Space is beautiful , but expensive to travel. In fact the government threatens to cut the space program if it does not produce. Even though NASA had success with the moon landing and sending a monkey to space, the government feels that the cost of this program is not worth what it is producing. However, sending astronauts to space is one of the best and only ways to advance space exploration.
Without funds NASA cannot develop new technology and without technology researchers and scientists would not be able to explain a discovery that they made with existing technology. For example, without the invention of the Mars Rover, scientists would not have been able to discover water on Mars. This example alone leaves people questioning space and it attributes such as planets, galaxies and even aliens. This curiosity leads to the second reason as to why people support space activities. The idea of travelling to space is one of the driving factors for people to support funding of space exploration.
We need to encourage space exploration because space might hold the solution to problems on Earth. Even if astronomers do not find what they are looking for, they always end up inventing something that helps people out here on
Also according to “Future of Space”, certain humanitarian needs have to be met on Earth, once they have been met this leads to more technology advantages and opportunities that can really benefit space exploration in the future. Americans should take the time to explore space because it’s not too expensive and it creates more and more technology advantages. One reason why Americans should explore space is that humans are naturally curious and competitive and want to explore beyond the Earth. According to “Leaving Main Street”, it states that if they take away space exploration society, will have forgotten what it’s like to be a human.
Attention Congressman Burgess, Our nation is the greatest in the world, yet we have our flaws. In order to fix the defects of the United States, I believe our current laws on the economy, foreign policy, and criminal behaviour must be revised. This letter will cover a specific issue in each of the aforementioned categories. I believe that the government needs to increase the budget for space programs like NASA and SpaceX. Looking around, you will find countless inventions.
Exploring Mars is a heavy investment. For instance, the commute to mars, rocket fuel, building the rocket ships, and obtaining the required equipment would be costly. Over the many years of launching spaceships to mars, hundreds of billions of dollars have been spent. Spending a large amount of money on this project will have an impact on our economy. Exploring mars expands our knowledge and deepens our understanding of the universe.
The first implication is the fate of the U.S. economy: jobs, budgets, and national relations (Source A). One misconception regarding spending taxpayer money on space exploration is that goes into space and stays there (Source H). Contrary to Source H, Source A states that this money comes back all around us. Space exploration creates jobs and salaries involving materials, building, designing, researching, and studying.
They have spent over 18 billion dollars on expanding our technology and using our resources. By doing this we have explored the universe on a whole different level. The risk of decreasing the amount we spend could be a risk but should be done to help the people in need. Not to get rid of the space program completely
Paul Allen, cofounder of Microsoft and owner of the Seattle Seahawks, represents an anomaly in the economic market. His net worth of 17.5 billion dollars sets him soaring over the net worth of other celebrities such as Oprah and Jay-Z; however, the surprising aspect of Paul Allen is not the position on the wealth scale, but rather the fact his net worth of $17.5 billion sets him at the equal rate of what the federal government grants NASA and other space programs every year. Debates over funding for space exploration continue today; as some take the stance that the government should provide the funding, while others believe the funding should be privatized, engaging the entrepreneurial work force. Research on a variety of different topics
Space exploration is the continuous exploration and discovery of the universe beyond our own atmosphere. It has helped make multiple helpful discoveries, making certain technologies available to be used in other forms. I can be costly, and hazardous to those involved. Is space exploration too costly and hazardous or is the understanding of space and Earth along with the spinoff technologies worth it? Benefits of Space Exploration NASA has collaborated with Google to solve challenging technical problems.
Other people might say there are better ways to use the money invested in space exploration. Additionally, most people also believe the money should be used to explore our oceans, since they make up 70 percent of Earth and we have only explored five percent of all oceans (United). Also, are we benefiting from space exploration or are we losing more than we gain from it? These questions make it hard for people to believe that space exploration is worth it. Some view space exploration as a waste of resources, for example, resources used to build spaceships, and the use of natural resources to make rocket fuel.
We learned to monitor orbiting astronauts- pioneering telemedicine & leading to unprecedented improvements in patient monitoring”(Fowler, 1). Funding for space exploration could help physicians go into space, test materials, bring them back (if promising), and use them on patients. Also adding to that, “ We would be a much more healthy planet and society, if we stopped warring with each other and wasting precious minerals that we have on this Earth -on- war, we would have more resources to spend on more important things such as daily
If Nasa and the Federal Government put more money towards space travel and development we could go to Mars or even farther. Space travel is worth all the research, resources, and time. Space travel takes an abundance of time and it is worth it. Gravity
