The first issue that people encounter would be that we don’t know whether or not the craft will take off and make it into space, which wastes billions of dollars, and ends the lives of astronauts. Just for a second close your eyes and think about all of those cool space movies that intrigue you the most. For my Star Wars and Star Trek fans let me say this first. Yes those movies were in fact science fiction; although, how cool would it be to have all of those cool gadgets and be able to travel off planet and see other stars and galaxies. I believe that the abandonment of NASA space program was a mistake for the reason that all of our problems that we have on in terms of wealth, resources and cultural conflict could be answered with what might be in space. Without funds NASA cannot develop new technology and without technology researchers and scientists would not be able to explain a discovery that they made with existing technology. For example, without the invention of the Mars Rover, scientists would not have been able to discover water on Mars. Space satellites like voyager 1 and 2 have done a huge amount of research on our galaxy and flew close enough to titan one of saturn 's moon humans now know that the surface is like on the water moon. It 's not just people conducting research but satellites do more research on our own planet and solar system and figure out weather patterns and asteroids distance and what the surface of Jupiter is like and other planets and because of starlights we know how hot the sun is and what 's its made of. Satellites help everyone down here on earth it gets internet, radio stations and all and any other type of communication expect for landline phones.
